Internationals

Since Cambridge is very much an international and cosmopolitan city, we have many people of different nationalities that are involved with the church.

Some are here temporarily for a few months or to study for a number of years, and some have come from other nations to take up permanent residence in the UK.

The Bible tells us that God's heart is for those people who may feel themselves to be 'foreigners' in an different culture so we offer a warm welcome to people from all countries of the world. Our desire is that City Church is a place where people from across the globe feel that they belong. For whatever length of time that you are with us we want to help strengthen your walk with God. Just as God moved Abraham onto another country with the words "I will bless you and you will be a source of blessing to others" (Genesis 12) - we trust that this will be your experience while you are part of City Church and as you move on from us to other places.

The Bible says " there is neither Jew or Gentile...for you are all one in Christ" (Galatians 3:28.)  Consequently, we desire to integrate people from any and every background together at City Church into an united, harmonious family. We believe passionately that every Christian is meant to be thoroughly involved in a local church. For this reason we would strongly encourage anyone coming to City Church from whatever country to get stuck into church life - particularly a cell group. We do run certain special events for those not from the UK but always the goal of these occassions is to help you be as much as part of City Church as anyone else.

Reaching the Nations God calls the church to reach the nations (see Acts 1:8 and Revelation 4:9).  We want to respond to this in two ways: reaching 'internationals' living in Cambridge

• sending and supporting people in other nations where they can express God's love to that indigenous people group

We are committed to achieving both these aims.   We have various initiatives to reach internationals in Cambridge and we actively support members of City Church who are serving God in 4 different continents.
