Our Vision
Our mission at City Church Cambridge is to advance the kingdom of God - in Cambridge and beyond. We seek to achieve this aim by being a community of people who are:
- experiencing God’s presence
We exist to worship God. Our church life will be flexible, seeking God's will in prayer and functioning together using all kinds of spiritual gifts.
We commit ourselves to obey the authority of the Bible, to read and study its contents and to disciple one another towards maturity.
We earnestly desire to reach the nations for Jesus Christ, working alongside other churches in unity and developing a serving attitude to others.
City Church is affiliated to Newfrontiers, a family of over 300 churches in 22 nations. Newfrontiers is about relationships - with Jesus and each other. We’re excited to be part of their vision to advance the Kingdom of God across the world by:
Restoring the church
Making disciples
Planting churches
Training leaders
Reaching the nations
Serving the poor
Newfrontiers seeks to help local church leadership equip their people to be effective Christians who will fulfil the calling of God on their lives. This goal is achieved through a team of people who work in relationship with churches and minister there at the invitation of the local church leadership. This practice is described in the Bible in Ephesians chapter 4.
