Clusters & Growth Groups
WHAT’S A CLUSTER? Clusters are groups of about 20-40 people that meet mid-week. They provide an excellent place to build relationships, worship together, care for one another and invite new people along. With a mixture of meetings and socials they help us all play our part. Venues vary but Clusters often meet in local community facilities.
AND GROWTH GROUPS? Growth Groups are smaller groups that meet in peoples’ homes. This really helps you to go deeper in a smaller context – deeper in relationship and also in discussion as we study the Bible together.
WHEN DO THEY MEET? Clusters and Growth Groups generally meet mid-week, alternating between the two from week to week. The day, time and place vary between them. For some weeks we all come together (all clusters) for a whole church prayer meeting or other event. Details of the programme can be found on the Sunday news sheet or on the website.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT? A warm welcome for a start! Beyond that there is a lot of variety but common components include food, worship, prayer, Bible study and discussion. Some groups have special interests too like serving their community or reaching the nations.
HOW DO I JOIN ONE? Many people are in a group near them so take a look at the map/areas and find one near you. It is usually best to contact the Cluster or Growth Group leader beforehand to find out the plan for that week – pick up a leaflet on a Sunday with all their contact details. Of course, if you know someone in a group already then why not join them?
