Our story starts before the beginning.

‘He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time.’ 2 Timothy 1:9 NIV

Normally, when telling a story, you have to go back to the beginning. But in tracing the threads of our story in Jesus we have to go back before the beginning. Our story starts before the moment spoken of when ‘In the beginning God created…’

Because Jesus is eternal and uncreated, His plans plans for our salvation and a relationship with us where being worked out in eternity past.

Narrowing our understanding of Jesus to his 33 years on earth is a dangerous distortion of someone with (literally) infinite scope.

His plan for our deliverance is written on every page and long before those pages existed!
